The Role

As a Field Test Engineer in our dynamic Agile team, you'll impact the development of products for tomorrow's robotic lawnmowers. You'll have the opportunity to work on innovative technologies and concepts at every stage of development, from idea to final release.

Collaborate closely with our development teams in Jönköping, focusing on mechanics, system design, electronics, and software. You'll also work directly with our offices and production sites in the US and China.

Your primary responsibility will be testing robotic lawnmower systems from a customer perspective. Verify functions and behavior by running various scenarios, conducting field tests, and executing detailed software, electronic, or mechanical tests. Define test methods and continuously test new versions for updates and bug fixes. Perform regression testing, acceptance tests, and ad-hoc testing as needed.

A significant part of your role as a Field Test Engineer will involve hands-on work, both indoors and outdoors. Investigate and identify deviations and undesirable behaviors in the system, analyze test results, and document them in a structured manner.

However, having a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics, Mechanics, or a similar field could be advantageous.

In addition, you may possess expertise in some of the following areas:

• Adopting a customer-centric, outside-in approach
• Demonstrating a natural talent for identifying weak spots and devising innovative solutions
• Possessing fundamental knowledge of electronics
• Experience with test automation
• Understanding IoT and its role in connecting hardware and software components
• Holding an ISTQB certification or a similar qualification
• Practical experience using Jira or comparable tools to support agile workflows

The position requires that you can express yourself well in English; both verbally and in writing.
